“Having structure and a plan to follow actually motivates me more to go to the course and practice.”
You know you should practice. The harder part is deciding what to do, how much to do, and what comes next. That work is already organized for you.
Choose the plan that fits your game. Open Practice 1 and follow the instructions from your phone, tablet, or computer.
Work through full-swing, chipping, and putting drills with clear targets and tasks. Follow the session instead of filling another bucket without a goal.
Use the plan’s assessments to check your progress. Give your weakest skills extra attention before moving into harder practice.
These are three drills from Practice 1 in the Intermediate Plan. Each gives you a specific setup and something to focus on.
Place a towel 3-4 inches behind the golf ball. Hit shots without touching the towel, focusing on striking the ball first and the ground second. Move the towel slightly closer as your contact improves.
Place a small towel 3–5 yards onto the green as your landing zone. Hit 10 chip shots and focus on landing the ball on the towel rather than aiming directly at the hole. Change clubs and learn how different trajectories affect rollout.
Putt from 20 feet to a hole and focus primarily on distance control. Hit sets of 5–10 putts with the goal of finishing every ball within a 3-foot circle around the hole. Prioritize eliminating three-putts over trying to make every putt.
