Why I coach
Your practice should show up on your scorecard.
I’m Nick, the coach behind Foy Golf Academy. Over the past 11 years, I’ve coached thousands of students online. I’ve also coached a high school golf team to the state finals back to back years in both 2025 and 2026.
My goal here is to help you understand your game, make better decisions, and know exactly what to work on when you practice.
For a golfer trying to break 90, that means paying attention to the shots that turn a manageable hole into a big number: a tee shot out of play, a chip that stays in the rough, or a first putt that leaves too much work.
That’s why my coaching covers your swing, short game, putting, and on-course decisions. I want you to arrive at the course with a clear plan and leave knowing what you’re improving.
What we’ll focus on to help you break 90
-
Keep the ball in play.
Choose tee shots and targets that leave you a playable next shot. Give yourself a chance to avoid the big number.
-
Clean up the short game.
Get chips onto the green, improve your putting distance control, and build confidence over those short putts.
-
Make practice count.
Follow drills with a clear target, track your results, and spend time on the skills costing you the most strokes.
